Canyon de Chelly was the first stop of a 5-day trip to Arizona’s and Utah’s National Parks. I would recommend spending a full day at this spectacular park, since we arrived late afternoon from Phoenix we had time for a hike and a visit of a few viewpoints. We drove along the south rim which is better exposed to sunlight in the afternoon, and hiked down the canyon’s ancestral dwellings via the white house trail. We wrapped up our visit at sunset with a breathtaking Spider Rock located at the end of the south rim road.
