For the first day in Kauai we did the lazy tourists and simply stopped at a viewpoint in Waimea Canyon without hiking any bit. The canyon is quite as impressive and Grand Canyon:
We then stopped at one of the snorkeling spots on the south shore of the island with some unusually colorful trees on the way:
